In order to achieve the dark rich colors, I paint on the glass 3 to 6 times with firings in between to embed the paint in the glass. New lamps can be customized to match your decor and many styles are available. A few of the following lamps are antique heirlooms that have a top globe or shade that I've painted to match. Clients have been very pleased to once again enjoy the family heirloom. Price varies considering the size and style of the globe or shade. To restore the antique piece the following must be taken into consideration: color matching (by test fires), duplicating techniques (used by artists 100 years ago!), airbrushed background, pinwork dots (to emulate a decal), and any enamel or gold work it may have. Lead time for restoring pieces vary from 2 to 6 months due to any additional research required. The replacement globe or shade can range between $50 to $200. The following examples vary between $200 to $400 in labor. Shipping not included. A photo of the lamp may be sent for an initial estimate. Once the lamp or broken pieces arrive here an exact price quote can be made. Lamps must be double boxed with 4 inches of padding in the interior box and 4 inches of padding between this box and the exterior box (total of 8 inches of padding). Professional packing and insurance is recommended. |
